Focus on “Clean & Green”

Creating an Environment in your home that is safe, clean and healthy.

Do you value your family’s health?  Are you consciously making decisions that would affect your family’s safety and longevity when it comes to your home environment?

There is a fast growing group of people who are realizing that commercial grade cleaning products are toxic to your family’s health.  The term, “green” is becoming so popular that many companies are now marketting their products as “green” or “organic”.

However, because there is so little Federal regulation around the term, “green”, manufacturers can market their products as “green” or “healthy” and still sell you chemical cleaning products… and it’s totally legal!

89% of all poison exposures occur in the home.

That’s pretty scary!  For all the small toddlers and children who spend the majority of their time in the home, it may be concerning when washing floors, clothes, dishes and toys (toys you know go in the kid’s mouth) with toxic, cancer-causing and often deadly chemicals.

The majority of cleaning products, even “healthy”, “green” or “chemical-free” products that are marketed contains unhealthy chemicals like

  • Endocrine disrupters
  • fragrances
  • parabens,
  • formaldehyde

The list could go on.  Unfortunately, there is no easy way to make sure all the products you use are completely beneficial to you and your family’s health.

The best and most cost-effective way to keep the “clean” in your home clean is to make your own DIY products.  There are many fun, easy and money-saving ideas to clean your home.

How about mixing baking soda and vinegar to make your own toilet/bathtub cleaner?  What about homemade hand soap made from castille soap?  5 minute-made laundry detergent and softener, anyone?

All of these recipes can be found HERE!  We want to provide you with the easiest, most affordable and simple ways to stay healthy!
